Less Is More… as they say, and that’s what makes LeftRight Sound has been releasing less music lately, focusing more on the quality curation. After one year, the Jakarta-based imprint allows usual suspect DJ Ical his third outing on the label.
Main track ‘Daybreak’ is a stylish deep house track, layered with broken beats, lush chords and necessary acid lines, making it a joyful listening pleasure perfect for sunset, balearic party occasion. ‘Coastline’ isn’t less of a quality either; with dreamy and soulful nu disco vibe… just listen to that bassline. To top it off, ‘Muta’s Poem’ is a more dubby, percussive excursion with Afro chants and a touch of quirkiness.
