The notion of ‘clubbing’ will guide all AFR production, which will revolve around this concept not just as a centre of culture, but as its center of gravity.
The first issue of the catalogue is a record that can thoroughly evoke the variety of sound nuances -also visual/graphic ones- that will make up the microcosm of the label, and for this very special occasion we put to work the immense talent of four eclectic artists belonging to the royalty of the Italian Electronic Music producers.
The V/A is called ‘Downstair’ and will be out both on 12′ vinyl and on all streaming/download platforms from the 1st of June 2023.
The title itself suggests the character of the record which -with its music- wants to take the listener to an imaginary basement club where four DJs are playing the AFR tones.
‘Downstair’ consists of four tracks by four different artists: Luca Vera – Feel Better / DJ Rocca – Epsylon Club / Rame – Bow Down / Luca Distefano – Be Kind.
No one better than them can tell the mission of Another Face Records, which aims to explore a vast array of distinctive sounds, from Underground to House music in its various forms, keeping one foot in the present and one foot in the previous history of Electronic Music.
In the approximately twenty-five minutes that make up ‘Downstair’, four complementary and converging visions are explored, epitomising the foundations to start venturing into the world of sounds and images that AFR aims to represent, in the most authentic possible way and with the utmost respect for the music that will be transmitted on its frequencies.
